Arthur's Pass National Park - Walks

An unusual national park in that it's centered on a road. This becomes abundantly clear when we are hiking under power pylons to the sound of huge trucks. So, even though the walks shown here are quite nice, they don't have the feeling of being away out in nature that other national parks tend to have. Having said that, the road makes this park very accessible and the road itself, from Otira to Arthur's Pass is an absolute adrenaline rush. Not for the faint-hearted. Definitely not for inexperienced drivers.
