All the photos on NZNationalParks.com were taken on my trusty old Fujifilm X-E1 and almost all of them with my Fujinon 14mm f2.8 ultra wide angle lens. Most of the shots were either taken on overcast or rainy days. If I had no choice but to photograph on a sunny day, the shots in the forest were deliberately under-exposed to keep the detail in the highlights.
Why only one lens?
1. Weight. Getting to where I take most of my photos is the hardest bit. Less weight in my camera bag means I can carry nicer food.
2. My eye for beauty seems to suit an ultra wide lens. When I see beauty, it's usually everything around me.
3. If I was to carry a second lens, what would it be? I think, a short telephoto macro lens might do the trick.
