This is an easy walk as far as the Blue Lakes (good swimming in Summer). Then we climb steps to a viewpoint with good views of the lower Tasman Glacier and lake, icebergs and mountains.
At the time of photography, track maintenance was being carried out.

...and we come to a second (green) Blue Lake. There is another (third) Blue Lake beyond this one.

The lakes were blue long ago but are now cut off from the glacier and are green from algae.

At the head of the lake we can see dust and grit whipped up by gale force winds.

Looking back down the Tasman Valley. Most other National Parks are beautiful. This one is spectacular.
